I dare Democrats not to pass healthcare reform

Last night's election results show that this President and Democratic majority need to start getting things done or they are going to lose their majorities.  Democratic turnout was way down everywhere, while Republican turnout was either steady or up.

New PPP polling showing Democratic wipeout on Tuesday

Two new polls show that Democrats are about to get a major ass kicking on Tuesday night.  They show that Republican Chris Christie will defeat Jon Corzine for reelection in New Jersey and that Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman will be overwhelmingly elected as the next Congressman from New York's 23rd district.

Damn you New Jersey

Well, it looks like right wing Republican Chris Christie will win the governors race in New Jersey, giving Republicans a full sweep of the 2009 governors races and putting the Democratic majority in governorships at a tiny 26-24.

WTF!!! No vote on healthcare until after Christmas?

This is really pissing me off.  This was supposed to be done in July, then September, then October, then by Thanksgiving, and then by Christmas.  No, no, no.  No more waiting.  President Obama, you get off your lazy behind right now and tell Harry Reid that he better have this done by Christmas or there is going to be hell to pay.  Waiting until Christmas was a big, big risk, and the last chance for a bill.

Democrats about to get wiped off the map in Virginia

Its bad enough that Republican wingnut Bob McDonnell will likely win the Virginia governors race, but is really awful is that he is likely to bring extreme wingnut Ken Cuccinelli into the Attorney General's office with him.  What is even worse than that is that in the House of Delegates, where Democrats earlier this year thought they may be able to gain control, Republicans now look likely to pick up as many as 13 seats, bring Democrats below the the one third mark in the chamber.

Projection: Pres. Obama to be 1st President since Hoover to have net job loss during his term

Since President Obama's inaugeration, the economy has lost nearly 4,000,000 jobs.  To avoid being a net job loser by November 2012, he will have have to create, at minimum, an average of 113,000 jobs per month over the next 36 months of his Presidency.

From 1993 to 1996, Bill Clinton was able to create an average of 240,000 jobs a month as he benefitted from a strongly recovering economy that had already been creating jobs by the time he came into office.

Pres. Obama needs to do something about jobs

This President needs to do something fast about unemployment or his Presidency and the Democratic party are going to be in grave, grave danger.  Since his inaugeration in January, the unemployment rate has gone up almost two percentage points.  Its as if we have a President that lives in his own world, while the rest of of America suffers.  This President needs to start reducing the unemployment very soon.  Its time to start doing his job.

Democrats hemorrhaging at the local level

In the past week, Democrats have lost several key local races.  They have lost the Albuquerque mayorship last Tuesday as well as the City Council.  Tonight they have lost two House seats that they have held since Reconstruction in special elections in both Tennessee and Oklahoma.  This means that Republicans have made a net gain of six seats in state legislative special elections since Obama's election almost a year ago.
